What type of mark is this?

Hi Everyone! This little bottle has , what looks like a spot where the mold was, not to sure though, any idea's?

Hey Josh- I think you might get more input if you put your last few questions in the Before or After 1900, Digging and Finding, and Unexpected Discoveries, etc. I think this forum is where questions end up after a few weeks when no one has answered them. Good Luck!![;)]

Yeap, Towhead is right but I will answer your question anyway.[:)] Your got it right. It looks like where the mold didn't seal real good , maybe from wear or damage or just poor cutting.

Good eye. Studing bottles that closely and asking questions about what you find is one of the best ways to learn.

The only poor question is the one not asked.

I have found a couple dozen canning jars and lids
they are crown glass jars marked made in canada from 1941-1948
are they worth anything
