Hi I just signed up to this site because I have a question for all of you. My nieghbor just came across about 7 Bitters Bottles from 1872 and we have no idea what it is worth. I took some nice pics for him so hopefully he'll cut me some cash [;)]

Anyone know what its worth? Here are some pics:

sorry they're links, I couldn't figure out how to put them in the posts

Hi ,
I agree with lobey ..... Doyle's are 25.00 - 35.00 in Amber. Greens and Yellows bring more . If it's a Dr.Soule's ..... they seem to bring more than the Doyle's in Amber. In mint condition and Amber Soule's would probably be in the 70.00 range .
Both the Doyle's and Soule's bring more in color variants other than Amber.

Tell the person that told you that they were worth 20,000.00 a piece that I'd take 10,000.00 a piece for mine !!!! ;o)

I have a couple of nice ones I found underwater... I'll let them go for a lot less than 10,000!!![&:] Just kidding...

I love all the bottles I find.. They all have a place in my collection and I remember where each and every one of them came from... how deep, who I was diving with,
time of year... isn't it a great hobby? (my wife calls it my obsession!!!)

I agree with gunther ! Original labels in good condition can add value. I have seen some labeled Amber Doyle's go in the 100.00 range. That's quite a bit higher than the 25.00 - 35.00 value on an Amber example without labels.
