Hi,
Really kind of weird but this is seeming a little bit backwards to me. I did a post on "Hampden Tap from Boston" this morning. With a name like Hampden Tap you would think it was a beer bottle but it appears to be a whiskey bottle shape. This bottle that I am currently picturing seems to be a beer or soda type bottle.
However when we read the slug plate it says "D. F. CONLON WHOLESALE LIQUORDEALER BROADWAY LAWRENCE, MASS.". It also says "REGISTERED" over the top of the slug plate and "THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD" along the base. Since I have not figured out the process of putting two pics on one post yet I will follow with a detail of the slugplate writing in a second post. The bottle dates 1890 to 1910 so it is bordline in this category. Any historical information or value information is unknown to me. Other collectors have called it "unique"?? Thanks for any help or information!
