Who were H & F

I'm trying to track down the maker behind the H & F mark on the base following beer bottles:

Burt Bros of East Stroudsburg, PA
Bush Bottling Co. of Penn Yan, PA
Boller & Co. of Elizabeth, NJ

Anybody have any others?

Hi Tod, does the h definetly come before the f ???? Still having trouble doing anything to the spread sheet you sent me for the Paterson NJ Bottles, I can open it but can't type anything or make any changes on it. Any help or ideas on how to do so would be great.

Definately "H & F" and it appears on two quart sized bottles and one pint sized. I am sure there must be others out there.

Are you sure these are beer bottles ? I can't find them in the brewery registry. I am inclined to think all three you listed might be sodas. Hope this helps narrow the field, and not add to the confusion. []

Definitely beer bottles! The mark is the manufacturer/jobber. The Burt Bros were brewers/bottlers and the other two were bottlers.

Sorry evidently I can't read a book. [] I did find Burt brothers on the second try. They are from East Stroudsburg 1884-1888. Hope this helps round down the manufacturer possibilities.
