This weeks yard sale score. I'll be happy to give you 5.00 for the Warner's, and 1.00 for the other "doohicky bottle". I almost feel guilty.

Hello Christopher,

The dollar "doohicky bottle" is a British blacking.

I knew what the blacking bottle was; That's just what the lady who I bought it from called it. Great picture of label though.

Nice score on the Warner's & Blacking Grasshopper

I also did a little flea market walking with the wife this past weekend. I used to go a lot,but over the years it petered out. After this one I think I might go more often. It is kinda fun searching out the bottles. My eyes are trained on the glass more then anything.

The take for the day. Now I know what the brown clay one is [:D]

The other is a local BIM med with a label. With out that label it would be just a plain old clear slick. Its funny how a little piece of yellowed paper makes it a keeper.

Where this Pharmacy was located is now a bad part of the city. We have dug pits in this N hood before but never found any bottles with this name.

Hey Rick - I used to live 3 1/2 blocks down from there... in the wrong direction! [:D]

I lived at 8th and Chew 24 years ago. It was bad then but not like now

I lived on Penn St between 4th & 5th & Gordon & Liberty 20+ years ago. Wasn't too bad, really. They had just shut down a problem bar a couple weeks after I moved in. Before they shut that down, I saw a drug deal take place on my steps through my front door window... after the bar was closed, never had any problems.

They probably moved to the front of my apartment [:D]
