1 gallon stoneware jug stamped J. Hart. The Belleville Pottery Company was operated by a J. Hart in the early 1900's, maybe earlier. There was Belleville Stoneware Pottery operated in the mid to late 1800's by the Hart Brothers. Possibly business taken over by a son and renamed?? That's all I can find out.

I believe the first 2 are master inks. Not sure about the third. About a 1/2 gallon in size.

Actually, it's the Prince of Wales's Feathers which appear on the Charles Gurd, Montreal bottles. This insignia represents the heir apparent to the English throne. Gurd worked it into his company's trademark, but not randomly so. During the 1800s, such a royal symbol could only be used by a company operating in a British dominion, such as Canada, if that company received a royal warrant authorizing such use. Earning a royal warrant almost always meant that the member of the royal family had personally used and approved of the product in question, which, in this case, was Gurd's ginger beer.

Yeah, that first jug and even the second one are really great. I'd be back there in a heartbeat after finding those! 2nd one looks like maybe syrup, with that spout.
