Here's a picture of the Mountain Dew Party Jug, which is a screw cap nd/nr and I believe dates to the late 1960s or early 1970s. That $2,500.00 bottle has been on e-bay for almost a year now. You would think the seller would get the hint by now that no one is going to pay that much for it. As for the newer bottles, I always compare that sort of thing to new cars vs classic cars ... meaning, sure, it may be a Ford Thunderbird, and it may have everything cool going for it, but a 1997 Thunderbird will never be a 1957 Thunderbird no matter how you slice it. That is, unless you happen to like collecting the newer bottles, which is fine. But in my nostalgic way of looking at things, nothing will ever compare to the real deals of the 1930s thru the 1960s.

I have a question then about a Dew bottle that I have that is a screw top but it has that "Bill" I guess on the green bottle, embossed. withon the far side It'll tickle yore innards!, When was this made? there is a "no Deposit" ebossed on the bottle also. Are these worth anything? To my boys who found them they are great. being the little mennonites that they are they love mountain dew to drink so this was like finding gold!!

What u are describing sounds like a no deposit no return bottle. A pic would really help a lot. A ND/NR bottle with Bill on it shouldn't exist. I am going to attempt to post a pic of a few of my dews and maybe u have something similar. Unfortunately, me and my fiance split up and she took the laptop, so all I have is my phone to post here.

Well, the pic won't post from my phone, but if u can get a pic up here u may have something very rare. There were no names on the ND/NR's of the late 60's.

Splante, those green label art mountain dews are worth it if u want to sell them one by one. I paid 5 bucks for an empty one, so I forgot the price u said on them. I apologize for my disorganization today. Everything has gone crazy for me. Only constant thing is my sweet ol' mountain dew bottles. Had to unpack them today just to get that old barefoot feeling back. Anything to keep my mind off of Sam...

Well, I hope I was of some help... if u have any questions about the value of named hillbilly bottles I can help u out. I know the good ones by heart, but I also have a price guide to back it up... thanks for being here ABN, don't know what I would do without u.
