At least it says it's a fake. There are for too many out there that don't!

There are a number of poison (and other) bottles that say "Made in Japan" on them (including this one) that date from the 1890's-1920's. In other words, this is not a fake...it may not be a real valuable poison bottle but it is original.

Interesting bottle. Looks like early , pre-quality control Japan :)
Seems to be a clone of British poisons.

Now if it said made in china on it I'd say yuck.

I've spoken with that seller serial times about a year ago. He had a huge collection of around 1000-2000 bottles he was selling off. I remember he had more nicer ones too, I wouldn't expect him to sell a fake. [8|]

I've just always assumed Made in Japan wasn't real collecting material. I didn't think most people would want them. Lol [:D]

Yeah, Made in Japan makes me think of early 70s when that name meant it was cra.... er... not the best quality. Didn't realize that could be a good thing. But that's why I love this place: There's always something to be learned!
