Memorial Day Digging - Philly Style
We dug two holes yesterday thanks to Chris and his supernatural abilities. Nobody could find any holes on this particular construction site, but Chris managed to use his psychic powers and some maps to locate not only one brickliner and one double barrel...
hi folks. been a while since ive posted. Ive dug about 6 or so holes this year, maybe more. Been spending most of my time reconstructing pottery, getting ready to dig in the mid-west, making some extra money, and for those that know me know that I like to sit back with a rod, reel, my chick, and...
Hey everyone! Long time no post.
Me, my dad, my buddy Alan, his son and my nephew (who are about the same age) went out to the Tylerport Pa bottle show. After walking around and fondiling some nice flasks and sodas we talked to some diggers and got a lead on a dump in Philly. We decided we...
We dug this bottle out of a privy in Wilmington DE last night. It was in an 1840's-50's context. Maybe someone here can identify if it is a forgein or American made bottle. Its a real dark bluish aqua more so than green.
Thanks, Matt.

This ones really cool. Its a Billy Baxter Sarsparilla crowntop tenpin soda with its label. I just found it in an attic. Its embossed Billy Baxter around the base. The label says its from The RedRaven Corporation Red Raven, PA. Any ideas on the rarity and value?
Thanks, Matt.
Here is another hutch type bottle embossed Henry Rooke & Co. St. Louis MO ESTBd. 1854 on the front. The back is embossed TRADE MARK "HR" in a star with an LG Co at the bottom left. There is also an R embossed on the base. I would like to know the value and rarity on this one also.
Thanks, Matt.
Heres a clear TJ Baker Oneonta NY Hutch with an odd top. The base is embossed with the letters F.B.S over a 2. Also, the bottle is embossed PATENTED FEB 20 1883 JUNE 23 85 & AUG 4 85 around the base. I was wondering the value and rarity.
Thanks, Matt.
