The insulator looks like a CD 143, are there any markings on it? Looks like a GNW possibly by the profile. If you could post a picture of it straight on I might be able to give a bit more information. Also, is it for sale? I'm a fellow Ontario digger (south of you closer to Peterborough) and specialize in insulators, especially CD 143's.
I've got lots to trade too if you're ever down my way.

Thanks, Chris

I tried to get a better picture of it , unfortuently is some damage to bottom 1 inch section of insulator , a chip and crack on other side likely limits its value but still neat to find . no makers markings at all on it .

That's a nice insulator even with the damage. It's a threadless mold that was converted to threaded. It looks like the style that has a flared out section above the wire groove. I'm guessing it's a CD 143 No Embossing Canada EIN [065] - threaded version of a 743.1. I couldn't say positively without seeing it in person, but I'm fairly sure. Book price in mint condition is 250 -300, so it's a tough one to find. Even with the damage I'd say it's worth $100, to me anyways. If you decide to sell let me know. I've also got lots to trade - insulators and bottles so let me know.
