I'm in a river all summer same place, found some nice bottles,
but after the slick hutch yesterday.
Thought I'll try a new spot. After two feet of mud and branches hit the bottom, had to leave, just had a small back pack, but there's more.

The area I live, two miles from downtown Chicago. The Portage where it was founded 8 blks, major river and the only street that led out of Chicago 1 block away. Doesn't take long to find something, if you don't mind getting dirty or what.

Amazing score on those Hutches! I have also discovered through experience that the more mud you get covered in during a recovery the higher quality the finds!

I'm in for some high quality, made the mistake of boots ya tie,and when I took them out that nasty black mud was packed in them. Back to the knee hi rubber boots. Although I know quality I don't think I posted this one from last week, not sure but I don't think it's older than 1890.

Hayes Bros was more popular in Hutch style bottle if I remember right, which would make it a soda or mineral water or similar most likely. Leon.
