Today's finds

This morning, walking my dog, I effectively stumbled on this dump. Me and my wife got about two wheelbarrows of bottles, pot leads, stoppers, jars, two pipes, a headless doll and who knows what else because are so many I forgot ...

I don't think is anything special as many of them were just laying around, rejected by the previous diggers, people with higher pretensions, obvious. Nevertheless for me is the first dig and they are just fine.

I do have a problem though. Staying a lot in the sun some of them are flaking. Not much to do about this...

The first picture is made at a point when I didn't know if there will be any more. I was wrong as you will see later.

Is soooo big, I tried to go around but I didn't find a way. There are nettles everywhere. With denims on me I adventured a bit and there are glass and poterry shards everywhere.

After I'll clean what I have I'll seee what to keep and what not.

Wow! I can't wait to see everything after you've had a chance to clean them. I have been walking and hiking in the woods with my dogs for years - why can't I ever stumble across a dump full of bottles?!! Congratulations!

WOW! Is that a transplanted dump, or do you have a bulldozer blade growing out of your midsection? I'd like to see the collection of whoever turned that stuff down. Nice finds!

GREAT HAUL,
often in the 70's diggers (me included) had so many dumps to choose from that they would only take PRIME stuff.
So I think you might find some more nice items.Anyway good luck.

Go back and dig that big pile of dirt, It looks like it has been dumped by trucks. I have seen this before and got heaps aswell. Mate do you think any bottle collector would leave behind those torpedos?? Or those jars for that matter?

Better haul some serious butt because as soon as other diggers in your area get a sniff of glass.......,
