    Before & After pic.

I've tumbled several hundred bottles and never really noticed any change in my electric bill. (I always wondered about that myself before I first got started.)

    4-3-2010 Dig- Lots O' Blobs

Jim: Haven't been on this site for quite awhile, but I was happy to see that you had a good dig. I'd love to find a nice lot of blobs like you found. Hope you have some more good luck at that site. Denny

    CLEANING OUTSIDE OF BOTTLE

I have found that a stiff touthbrush and Barkeepers Friend cleaner does wonders around the embossing on bottles. (As long as it is just dirt and grime and not "sickness" from being dug.) Good luck! Denny

Christian Heller, Jr. Bottler, Bridgeton, NJ

John: Thank you very much for the reply! My bottle appears to be like the one second from the left, but missing the wire bale. The color doesn't appear to be the same, however. I just recently picked the bottle up at a flea market. It was in good shape (no chips or cracks), but had a...

    11-9-08 Privy Dig

Jim: Looks like a couple more very successful digs. You and Gene are really becoming the "Privy Digging Kings" of Lewistown. Good luck with the digs this week-end. I always enjoy your photos. Denny

Christian Heller, Jr. Bottler, Bridgeton, NJ

I recently acquired a 9", light green, blob top Christian Heller embossed bottle and was wondering if anyone is familiar with it. The embossing is in a round slug plate and it also is embossed "REGISTERED" above the slug plate and "THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD" below the slug plate. Any idea of...

    glass cleaning oxides

Ann: I started tumbling bottles for the first time a couple months ago and was initially concerned with how hot my motor was getting, but I have been tumbling 24/7 since I started using it and have had no other problems. I consulted with the local, experienced tumbler who built my machine...

Disposal of bottle tumbling waste water/foam

I just began tumbling with a new machine that a bottle-collector friend put together for me. My question deals with the safe/proper way to dispose of the "waste water/sludge/foam" that is a by-product of the process. I live in a development, so I can't just dump the stuff anywhere I want. I...

Johnny: Where and how does the cut copper exit the steel stock? Dennis

    1-27-08 Pit Dig

Jim and Gene: Very nice finds! Personally, I am very partial to blob tops. I just love the way they look. Hope this privy holds some additional "goodies" for you. Too bad about hitting water, though. Denny

    DUMP DIGGIN!!!!!

Gene: Looks like you haven't dug all of the good stuff out of that dump just yet! Keep up the good work. Good luck to you and Jim on your privies also! Denny

    Couple of Squats, Blobs

Phil: What would be the total cost including shipping for the last 2 Chester bottles? I would also be interested in a total package cost including shipping for all 3 Chester bottles. My zip code is 17540. Thank you! Denny

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM

Jim: Happy 27th and you're still less than half my age! (Wish I would have started the "bottle thing" when I was your age. Then maybe I'd know half as much about bottles as you do!) Wishing you good "birthday luck" with that row of new privy digs. Hope to see you again later this year...

NEW DIG at bottom of this page!

RE: NEW DIG!!!!!!!!!! Jim and Gene: Glad to see you guys are still hard at it with the digging and having some success as well! Haven't had a chance to do any digging or too much else away from home except work since my wife was diagnosed with her breast cancer, but 2008 should be better...

    POTTERY PIT!!!!!!!!

Gene: I'm glad to see that you and Jim have been keeping yourselves busy and finding some good pits to dig. I'm jealous!! I haven't been able to get up your way all summer, as my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in July and that has really changed my schedule. Maybe next year I can...
