Thanks much for the comments.
Jamie, it's a clear bottle, the color comes from something nearby, not sure what. I agree with you about the time period, it has to be in that era pretty much due to when flight was discovered and then prohibition.
The bottle I bought at a bottle show that...
How much would you have to drink to climb aboard a rickety looking plane like this one.
I found an embossed version of this bottle at a bottle show years ago(a little beat up) and a year or so later this came up at auction and I had to have it. That's how I usually end up collecting...
Very cool, applied handles are great, they have a nice look to them and also a seal to boot! As you mentioned it makes it even more special being handed down through the family.
My uncle gave me a fairly common New York hutch he found while diving, other than that I'm not sure there are any...
Awesome bottles everyone, from just about every category.

Looks to be a half liter bottle, if I can be of further assistance let me know.
Seriously though, Nice looking bottle there. Always impressive how the thin ones survive that long.
Did anyone hear about the fire at the whorehouse?
Some come runnin' and others run comin'.
What did the sign say on the whorehouse door.
Closed..beat it.
Thanks for clearing that up GuntherHess and for the example Lobeycat.
Interesting how the mind works. When I read the embossing on the bottom and saw China, I stopped reading and didn't notice the Co after it, I just assumed it was a product of China.
This is the first I've seen of this...
It looks like it has "Federal law prohibits sale or re-use of this bottle" embossed on it. This dates it after prohibition ended (1933). Someone else can probably provide a closer dating period of this embossing hopefully.
