Henry & Brown crock, anybody familiar with the maker?

Thanks, Mike. Sorry for the confusion, it was a very long day and still isn't over.

Henry & Brown crock, anybody familiar with the maker?

Thanks, luckiest and brokenshovel. I just wondered as I have dug a couple dozen assorted crocks over the years but then again, with this being a 'bottle' forum, perhaps crocks aren't often posted here. If the latter, sorry about that. PS: meant to say crock not bottle.

This is a Gates Invigorating Syrup with ratty label. The product was made in Middleton, N.S.

Great find in old fouhdation Nova Scotia

Old thread, I know. But if the poster is still looking here is a Gates Life of Man Bitters Vegetable Compound with label, albeit a worn out one, as well as a Lydia E. Pinkham Vegetable Compound. I also added a Gates Invigorating Syrup because it was on the shelf next to the Gates Life of Man and...

Henry & Brown crock, anybody familiar with the maker?

This is an old Henry & Brown stoneware bottle I cannot locate any information on. Does anyone here have familiarity with the company in question? Any feedback would be appreciated.

    H.B. Kirk and Co.

Hi, accountantadam. This thread is from 2007, but the information still applies. https://www.antique-bottles.net/forum/m-105917/mpage-1/key-/tm.htm#105918

    Some pill bottles

I have a Humphreys Homæopathic somewhere but not a cannabis bottle. I wish I had one to add to my opium phials. The narcotics bottles are starting to become popular with niche collectors.

    W. Frank and Sons Pitt. flask

botlguy, my whimsical comment was meant simply as light-hearted banter, which is not so unusual given that I am relatively 'new' to this forum and its members. But I apologize if my remark caused offence to you or anyone else.

Bininger Cannon Bottle - no-name, clear glass

I just wanted to add that I meant the 1876 Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. Also, the figural has been in the window for several years and has begun to change color so it does appear to be pre-1900s glass.

    Candy-coated poison

Thanks for that link, Poison_Us. Not many poisons were sold in flasks here either.

    Candy-coated poison

I'm glad you like that pair. Singularly they probably would not hold as much value. Excellent glass for sure. Not to mention the contents.

    Candy-coated poison

In 2010 an inventor in the US applied for a patent on a poison for killing insects, with no "prior art" regarding the two components: an attractant (sugar) and a repellant (poison). However, chocolate-covered insecticide powder was already on the market some two hundred years ago. The Vicat...

Bininger Cannon Bottle - no-name, clear glass

Hello, cowseatmaize. It could have been commissioned, too, in the US for someone in France to deliver to someone in the US on the 100th anniversary of the US. It likely revolves around the date in time on the object itself. It strikes me as something genuine but unexplained. Thanks for all the...

Bininger Cannon Bottle - no-name, clear glass

Hello, AntiqueMeds. Thanks for the information. The object has an unusual past but it appears that this pseudo-Bininger puzzle might be impossible to resolve. Thanks for the responses.
