    religious medallion

I found this medal just in front of our barn door (our farm was a church camp, hosting revivals in the barn and summer camps for kids - little cabins once were scattered about the land) I was just doing the "poke around with a stick while my dad chatters on" thing I often do and thought I...

    1850's stainded glass

At a visit to an old local cemetary, I was checking out the foundation where a church had been burnt down a few years ago. This beautiful place was built in 1828, burned, and rebuilt in 1853. Someone set it ablaze just a few years ago (grrr....the cuss words I could invent for this person....)...

    nude woman/angel beer bottle??

This bottle wasn't dug - I found it in a bush I had stopped by to change camera batteries, off the side of a trail at a state park while honeymooning (hocking hills ohio) I don't know if this was considered stealing, but, why leave it to lay there? Sadly, I broke this bottle with just the...

I was delighted at this bottle find! I'm a great fan of rum, coincidentally mixed with grapefruit soda. Are these a common bottle? This one is pretty rough, but it's got a place on my shelf for sure!

wildlife areas - can i dig there?

Our family farm is located about a half mile from a Wildlife Reserve. There's a good deal of coal mining action going on down there - I wonder what sort of sites the come across and unintentionally disturb? Anyway, 300 acres of this Wildlife Area borders our own 10 acre tract of woods. I...

my favorite bottle - any ideas?

Here's a shot of the whole thing. If it helps, I can photograph the side seams and bottom.

my favorite bottle - any ideas?

This is a bottle I found nearby our family farm in Jefferson County, Ohio. I greatly enjoying digging and scrounging any type of artifacts and also have a crazy fascination with local history. This bottle was found near a very old foundation where I believe one of the original settlers of our...
