while metal detecting today I found several bottles of coca cola with Newport News, VA on them as well as a few with Alexanderia VA on them. Are these worth picking up? I dont know if there are collectors out there trying to get some from each state or anything like that. Thanks! Curt

found this bottle at an old burned out house site. It green glass, it has bubbles in it, a round base with a little warp from the fire, and a few different mold lines. thought maybe an old wine bottle, but would like your expert opinions pls. This house was in a historic area pre-civil war.

Apparently Obsidian is found locally here in VA, and VA was called out on a website I was reading as the only East coast state that has it. Not sure if that is true, but we do have it.

So is finding something like this one of those instances where if there is one there should be more? Or are finding these types of things far and few between, kinda like hitting the lotto.
