Friday afternoon seemed like a good time to drive from NYC to Philly to beat traffic. I picked up Toby and Tim in Brooklyn around 1230pm. We made good time and got to Philly around 3pm. We quickly assessed the city for obvious pits by driving around. Grabbed lots of beer and went to digger...
Pretty fun to dig a sign! This one came out of a 1915 era fill layer in a double barrel pit in Delaware. The pit had an older layer in the bottom but the old layer was not laden with artifacts.
OK I think im gonna post my storage auction fun on here since there is other random stuff posted in this section of the forum. I will start a new thread after every time I go if you guys and gals wanna hear about the finds and shit that goes on.

Started the day in Trenton...
sided sietz from easton pa and a boardman from ny. the boardman has long skinny block letters. both are tumbled. no damage. best offer gets one or both. ill post some pics in a few mins.
go into a pit with matt and george before the rain hit. i was watching the news and the news reporter was literally running around pointing at puddles. my fiance has to sleep over at the hospital she works. and i get to clean up some bottles.
