Perfume? Sample Whiskey? I have no clue

The other day, I dug this "thing" up. At first I thought inkwell, but I don't think inkwells ever came in this shape. I posted this along with my other finds in the Digging and Finding section, and someone mentioned it may be a sample whiskey or flavoring bitters. It seems the people that used...

New Spot, New Luck, New Bottles

The past few weeks, I've been cleaning up years worth of old leaves on my property. I happened to find part of a Rubsam & Horrmann bottle sticking up and it turned out to be whole. I kept digging, and I have found a few whole bottles, and a lot of shards. I didn't find anything of value, but...

I think it might be olive oil

Can anyone help with identifying this bottle? My guess is it is something like olive oil. It's a turn mold bottle, and I found it in an area that for the most part has bottles from around 1910-1915. My other question is what is the mark on the base? I think the pictures show the base pretty...

    View eBay best offer prices

Well, it's been a while since I have visited here. I guess life has just gotten in the way, or I have been lazy. Anyway, here I am again. As most of you probably know, you can't see accepted best offers by using ebay.ca anymore. Well, I found a website that lets you see accepted best offers now...

    I hate RockAuto

Ranting time. The hood supports were bad on my Ram (why do the have to use gas filled shocks that go bad after a few years? That's a rant for a different day.), so I ordered replacements from RockAuto. $22+$5.96 shipping. Seems like a good price, right? I bought them, and they got here. Then I...

    Got my own truck

So the other day I went truck shopping, and finally bought my own truck. It's a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 4.7L V8. Quad cab, long bed. 4x4. It's amazing how hard it was to find a truck that had everything I wanted. Anyway, I should get it Tuesday. More pictures then.

Just felt like sharing one of my other hobbies with you. I got my own weather station, and I have it updating my website. My website can be found at http://monmouthcountyweather.com.

    My other project

So like I said in "Where I've been," I have another project to work on. This is my uncle's son-in-law's truck. It is a 1987 Ford Ranger 2.0L L4 5 speed manual RWD. Currently it has an oil leak, which I am going to try to fix. Before I can do that, I need to replace the leaking fuel pump, and...

    Cast iron milk bottle

I thought I remember someone posting something about a cast iron milk bottle on this forum before. I'm not sure if people knew what they were used for or not, so I decided I will post this. At the bottom, with picture

    Amber SS Coke

Been looking at Cokes lately, because I know some sell for good money. I found this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1912-1914-AMBER-BROWN-COCA-COLA-SODA-BOTTLE-JACKSON-TN-/281015479338?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item416dd3ec2a I know amber SS Cokes usually sell for a lot, so is there something...

    SS Coke with label

Found this ss Coke, with label the other day. I didn't post, because I didn't want to draw attention to it in case I bid. Now it's out of my price range, and I bet it will keep going. Nice Coke with a good label. http://www.ebay.com/itm/120992072531?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

    Why???

It really hurts seeing this... I hope no one buys this bottle. Now that I actually read the description... So they admit it is not natural, yet still insist it is rare and worth $250...

    Where I've been

Been a while since I actually read through posts here. I've been kept busy with my newest project though. Trying to get this '87 IROC Z 350 (5.7 L) running. Been sitting in the yard for about 9 years, time to get it running. Right now I have the fuel tank dropped, so I can replace the fuel pump...

    Info on old bills?

Anyone know a good website to find out information on old US Banknotes? I have some $1 notes from the 1910s-1930s, also some 1910s-1930s $2 notes. Any good place to find out about these?

    YESSS!!!! (Devils Win)

LET'S GO DEVILS! Beat the Rangers in 6 games, going to the Stanley Cup Final! Great game, made greater by THE DEVILS WINNING! I will admit though, the Rangers did play a good game. But still, the Devils won!

    Joint-Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst Air Show

Just got in from the air show at JB MDL, and I must say it was amazing. To see the B-1B flying, and the Thunderbirds, truly amazing. The sounds were the best part. It is going on tomorrow also, so if you can go, you really should. I have pictures and video I will put up later.

    Good use for valueless bottles

This is a simple, fairly cheap way to turn old bottles that aren't valuable into something useful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KGzTAoTXHI&feature=g-u-u

    Google Custom Search

I was fooling around with Google, and just created a custom Google search, that searches NJBottles.com and also this website. So tell me, do you think this could add to the bottle research? It is good because it searches both sites at once. Also any other sites you think I should include? Link...

    It's Official: No More Winter

Well, I took the snow plow off the truck today. That means it is official: no more winter this year. So happy no more winter day everyone. I didn't get to plow once this year. Crazy stuff.

    MZ-3A Sighted Yesterday

As I was out raking leaves yesterday, the Navy's MZ-3A blimp started flying by. I ran inside, got my camera, and made this video. I actually didn't have to run, because 1) it is a blimp, and 2) It was flying around a good 5 minutes. Hope you enjoy the video.
