I believe this bottle is from the early 1880's but not sure. Does anyone know a value or rarity on this one. It's embossed KNOX BROS PETERBORO ONT.
Thanks
Debbie
The following pics don't include what I've already cleaned or the 6 boxes inside. These are from the wood shed and still in the truck. And we're not done with the site yet.
This is one we dug yesterday with a quick clean up. It's early 1900's. Embossed on the bottom;
WALKER'S
KILMANOCK
WHISKEY
1868
Embossing is weak on the bottom. It used to have paper labels but no longer does. Found out what the middle two words were at this site...
Found this base. Looks to be milk glass. It has something that screws on to the top of it but don't know what it is. Looks like a lamp base but could be for candles...or something else. Pic of underneath to follow.
Any info/guesses greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Found this doll head digging for bottles. All I've been able to find out is that it was made in Germany in 1909. Engraved on the back of the head is the following;
1909
DEP
R 10/0 A
Any info greatly appreciated.
thanks
Debbie
I've seen this bottle before but never with embossing this crude. There's no mold # on the base.
DOUGLAS
EGYPTIAN LINIMENT
DOUGLAS & CO
NAPANEE CANADA
Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks
Debbie
The following pics are a blobtop, round bottom bottle dug yesterday. Embossing in the base indent is J K & S 2167 with an M or W in the centre depending on how you look at it. Embossing didn't show up very well. The same embossing is also on the side near the bottom. Bottle has quite a few are...
1 gallon stoneware jug stamped J. Hart. The Belleville Pottery Company was operated by a J. Hart in the early 1900's, maybe earlier. There was Belleville Stoneware Pottery operated in the mid to late 1800's by the Hart Brothers. Possibly business taken over by a son and renamed?? That's all I...
This jug was from yesterdays dig. It's 12" tall. Anyone now if it's the one from the mid 1800's or if it's the one from the 1890's. Made in Germany.
Thanks
Debbie

I found a bottle that has "The Helperin Bottling Works" in the center circle below that is a lion dancing with a bottle and the words "Trade Mark". Below this it says South Porcupine Ont. Despite googling the bottling company I haven't been able to find anything out about the bottle or the...

Anyone have any ideas on how to get a cork out of a bottle?? It's seems they all forgot the cork screw and just pushed them into the bottles or they were too drunk to figure out how to use it.
Dug these up last week. Below is a list of the embossed ones I've cleaned up enough to figure out what they are.

Recently dug on a construction site. Research says it's 1890's era but didn't find anything the same although they were very similar. 2 more pics to follow.
This is another one I need some help with. The front of the bottle says Regal. The back says Registered Trade Mark. On the bottom it has a conjoined HK logo. On the front at the heel is a number 1 which I'm assuming is a mold number. The top has kink of a weird seam. Pictures of the rest of the...
I can't fins out anything on this recent find. Bottles from this dig I have been able to find are circa 1890. There is no case wear on the bottle. It could use a good cleaning. When held up to the light it looks more reddish than anything. No green or olive at all. The only thing similar I've...
