Thanks Red. Yes, sorry, there definitely are two keys...one on each side. Thanks for the information. I'd be interested in getting a copy of that book. Is it available online? What is the name of the book?

The quote was in reference to a type of joint used in flooring that uses the same principle. As I have never seen this type of seam on a bottle before, I did not know the proper name for it, you'll have to forgive me. I was really just wondering if this is rare and if there was a specific...

Hi guys: I found this bottle that seems to have a "tongue and groove" style seam. Is this common? I have just never seen one before now. Thanks

Sorry guys, I was out of town for a week. I agree that the plexi looks a bit bulky, and is going to take up precious space in my cabinet! I might attempt to build something similar but smaller.

Hello: I like that shelf it looks nice, but I was kind of thinking of something a little more along the lines of what ChrisP1 was thinking. I have a cabinet with shelves to display my bottles in. I was picturing something like a mini guitar holder, but made of metal, with horseshoe shape...

Hmmmm, well I was fairly certain there was liquid in it, but it is so opaque that it may just be an illusion. It also really seemed like glass too, but now I'm not sure! That was a good point about the notches, it really suggests a blade insert. Not a great day for me...one screw driver...
