Campbells Cathartic Compound?

Has anyone ever heard of this? I got a bottle in a lot at an auction the other day...I can't find any information on it. It is in this picture, one of the smaller ones in the front.

Pardon my French...bottle... contained?

I did a search for you, but found nothing - (I speak french) Is there nothing else on it? I did find a reference to the name A. Cognet, but it was concerning knives.... Sorry!

todays finds

Hey Skelch, where are you from? I'm looking for a digging partner, I'm in Montreal....seems there aren't many bottle diggers out here! I'm assuming your in Canada because of the bottles you have, but I could be wrong I guess, eh? [:D]

WOW!!!! Amazing stuff, and how wonderful to find it in your own yard!!! Hope you find tons more interesting things....

Great Surface Finds

Here are the two with labels - found them face to face in a shallow dump. Yup, they appear to close with corks, since the cork is still in the maple one.

I found two Rawleigh's bottles with intact labels, one is for maple flavouring, and one is for red colouring - I'll try and post some pics if you are interested?

No Clue....Yet again

I looked at mine, it is the same size as yours, and is says Perfect Lustre shampoo.... I still find it odd - shampoo in glass bottles!!!!

No Clue....Yet again

I found one similar to that in a 50's dump, and it was a shampoo bottle, the writing was still on it... I have it at home, because I was amazed that shampoo used to be in glass bottles! I'll check it out for you, let you know what mine was for (the brand and all that.) [:)]

Ah ha! Now that you say that, I see it completely.... I was getting bothered by trying to see the "bear" - it just wasn't working for me.... What a cute picture. I love labs, but have a chocolate, not a black.

Really, really new at this...

So, a probe is good for finding dumps too? I guess so, eh? Considering that I spent a hell of alot of time last weekend scraping off the dead leaves from the ground, searching for metal and broken glass, and digging tons of "test" holes! How does it work for finding a dump?

Really, really new at this...

Hey Michael, I'm really new at this as well, I had stumbled over a few bottles sticking out of an old farm dump, and since then I've been addicted! I've yet to find some amazing huge dump or privy like lots of the people here have, but I'm trying. Basically what I am doing is finding either...

First two digs ever, some help?

I'm always finding Rawleighs bottles, I figure it must have been the absolute necessary item in all Canadian households! I actually found two recently with the labels fairly intact (they were face to face) one is "red colour" and the other is maple flavouring. The labels are actually quite nice...
