    Green Glass stopper or plug?

Here's an odd little thing I found. It looks like a canning jar lid that needs flattened out. Or maybe some kind of stopper?

    glass 2 liter pepsi bottle

I've learned so much here! At least now I can go through some of the bottles in Mom's basement and know immediately that they're very common!! LOL I did find a glass 2 liter pepsi with the lid and thought it seemed unusual. Are they uncommon? I didn't take a pic but can if necessary. Thanks!

    Apothecary jar?

Would this be an apothecary jar? It's about 7" tall and the inside of the opening is ground. It has seams up to the narrow part and a seam around the bottom edge. Also on the bottom are 3 tiny "dots" Probably can't see them in pic but I'll try! [;)]

    Wanna see my carboy?

We bought this carboy (what a fun word!) at a recent estate auction. Hubby wants it for wine but if I find out it has some value I might have to sneak off and sell it! LOL The seams don't go all the way to the top and the bottom is very rough. As usual my photos are awful! [:(]

square knox with K in keystone?

Ok, I went through 6 boxes of jars looking for a 13! I found 1 but it had a chip in the rim. Are you sure the superstitious number isn't 5? LOL If it was I'd have a fortune!!! I did find 2 Knox Mason Jars that seemed different. They're square quarts with knox then a keystone with a K in it then...

eBay - Become a Power Seller!

This one seemed especially sneaky. I came close to replying! Until I looked at the reply to address suqpor@ebay.com and I held the mouse over the "join now" and checked the address in the status bar. "Congratulations! joining the eBay Silver PowerSeller Program. Come and join us. When you...

No 63 Pat 1903 and 1906 any value?

I have a clear glass jar that stands about 4 1/2 inches tall and is about 2 7/8 inches across. The top is not threaded. On the bottom (but you have to read down through the jar) is, No. 63 PAT in U.S. Dec. 22, 1903 July 17, 1906. Below that is M 30. I can't get a photo of the writing. There...

    embossed half gallon

Okay, last question, for today at least! I got this fancy half gallon bottle at an auction. I don't think it's very old but I was curious about what was in it. Any ideas? Thanks again for all the help and info!

    McCormicks Iron glue

Another one of dad's old bottles. It's about 3 1/4 inches tall. The side seams go all the way to the top. On the bottom is, McCormick's Iron Glue with an M inside a circle after Glue and a 2 between McCormick's and Iron Glue. I can't get a photo clear enough to show the bottom. Any info on...

    Small, old with crooked neck

This post is not about me!! [:D] This is another bottle that my dad had collected. It's about 6 7/8 inches tall and not quite 2 1/2 inches at the widest point. The corners are flattened(?) and there's 2 seams. The neck is very crooked and the bottle is not as clear as a clear bottle, slightly...

    Union Beer Co. Tarrs PA

Last question I promise! (unless someone wants to comment on or see an old Yough Brewing bottle from Connellsville, PA. !) The bottle in the pic below has Union Brewing Co. LTD Beer. Tarrs, PA in the ribbon under the crest. Union Made on the bottom. I'm very familiar with Tarrs, Pennsylvania but...

    Max Klein Whiskey flask

Does anyone know anything about this bottle? Its a 6 1/4 inch tall flask, the stopper is still inside and 2 wires are sticking out. There's a partial labe that I can read Max Klein & Co. and I think Pittsburgh underneath. I know there was a Max Klein distributor in pittsburgh. On the back is a...

    Red Top Rye bottle

I have a Red Top Rye bottle. Red Top Rye with a toy top is at the top of the bottle and Ferdinand Westheimer & Sons, Cincinnati Ohio, St. Joseph MO, Louisville KY is near the bottom. The bottle is 12 inches tall and looks like a modern champagne bottle. There is residue at the top that looks...

    Seams fade off toward top

I have an old, probably, beer bottle and I checked the seams on the side but they seem to go to where the bottle narrows and then they disappear. Does this mean it was "polished" to make it look like an old bottle? I haven't taken any photos yet and am not sure if I can get good ones but I...

Numbers on Bottoms of Green Ball Jars?

I have TONS of green Ball Jars. I've noticed that a lot of the jars have numbers on the bottoms. Single digits mostly. The jars all look the same except the numbers are different. Do the numbers indicate age? Thanks!

    Geo Baughman Mt Pleasant PA?

I've been going through some of the old bottles that my dad had collected. One of the bottles kind of has be baffled. It's a very heavy blob top with Geo Baughman Mt. Pleasant PA. I can't find any reference to Mr. Baughman or this bottle anywhere. In the History of Westmoreland County I found a...
