Violin Bottles

As usual I don't have a picture ready when I write but I just picked up a vaseline and an emerald green violin bottle today. I've seen many different colors over the years but I can't remember ever seeing a vaseline one. Thoughts.....

Privy's, wells, trash pits

I hate to sound dumb but just how do you know whether or not to dig a depression? If you do dig how far down do you go before you know it's a waste of time and energy? I only have experience with surface dumps, which is pretty good. Depending on the terrain I can feel the change of the surface...

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind for this forum, but my sons and I dug into a hillside a couple of years ago where garbage from the ACL was taken and tossed. Huge area that was just littered with broken rail road china, hobbleskirt cokes, milk bottles and other treasures. The bottles...

I'll try and post a picture later, but for now does anyone here know about anything about Numsen's Yacht Club Vinegar? Hometown? It's a gray salt glaze jug about a pint size, the name is pressed in, no decoration and the best part is it's attic mint.
