Thanks for the examples. This bottle is a blob top. The seem runs up the side but stops at the neck. I think that means per 1900, at least that is what Ihave read.
Could be as late as around 1910 with no seams, here are some of the stoppers used for sealing hutches and blobs...Feel free to email me any pics you may want to post at epackage@msn.com and I'll be happy to post them when I can...Jim

Thanks. This is the type of information I need.

I have two bottles with the "CYCLONE" stopper. Now I know what the name of the stoppers are.

I have one really cool whiskey 12oz mickey bottle that has a glass lid with a point on the end that goes in the bottle, it had rubber or cork around it but that did not survive. This is really cool. I have 4 or 5 12oz mickey bottles in this find but this one stand out.

I also found two "keg" beer bottles from Carling, I have identifed it as "Heidelberg" beer, Carling. One still has the cap and the beer inside.

Thanks for the data...

Going out today to look for bottle brushes that I can use to clean. They all need a bath bad!

The best one so far is a Brown Milk bottle, Ottawa diary, I think around 1900 - 1929 sometime. Very nice shape.

Is it a quart? If so is it the 'RETURN TO OTTAWA DAIRY CO.' written in a circle or the one just marked 'Ottawa dairy' in script?

Looks like mostly from Ottawa area, some from Montreal

What are they? I'm asking as I live right next to Ottawa and was born and raised in Montreal so you've really got my attention!
