I am looking for very crude fruit jars for my collection. Extreme examples wanted. I will pay a good premium above the normal value of a jar if it has in the making crudity that should have sent it for remelting. Crude features that I am looking for include: lots of bubbles, pot stones, glass swirls, color swirls, heavy whittle, extra pieces of glass or other materials in the glass, distortions in shape, orange peel surface, globs or drips or ??? The more that the jar looks like it should never have been let out of the glass house, the more I want it[8D].
Here is an up to date picture of my crude jars.
I will be set up at the Flint, Michigan show on Sunday the 17th of March.
George

I recently saw a Mason's Improved jar at local flea market that was a very distorted shape. It is round at the top and bottom but the middle section is flattened and makes it more of an oval shape in the middle. I had never seen a jar with such extreme distortion so I was a bit skeptical plus the price is a bit high for a rather common jar. It has the correct zinc band and glass insert. Let me know if this is a jar you would be interested in and I should be able to go out there on Saturday to see if it still there.

Jay, The jar sounds like just what I am looking for! As long as the distortion is in the making, I would like to have it. If you do decide to buy the jar, just let me know what you want for it and I will send payment at once. George

Does this one have the charisma your looking for? Bubbles in bubbles, extra piece of glass, swirls and whittle add to its charm There is a slight haze with a light tumble she'd sparkle
