Found this article at www.peachridgeglass.com concerning the newest reproduction Drakes bitters and Cathedral pickle bottles. Seems that these can fool knowledgable bottle collectors. I am sure more will come re these repros........

I saw the Drakes on Peachridge the other night it is a very good knockoff but the lip doesn't look right to me. I would like to handle one to get the feel of the glass.

Yeah agreed!! and I don't know how they made the label area that much smaller, cause it doesn't seem readily apparent when looking at the pics

We used to say the Drakes hadn't been faked and that wasn't too long ago. This really hoovers!
As to Dog River, I thought they went out of business years ago. I'll have to look for them again but I can't believe they would start over with the same name.

That's just a shorter cut.

I guess the dog is back to full operation.

That's the trace I got anyway and they are back.[][]

It's not bad since they state clearly they are reproduction but third party sellers are a major concern. I hope they at least mark them in a way that can't be removed.
It's times like this that, in a way, make me happy I don't have money.

He's addressed this personally on the forum before Eric, I just don't know how to find the post
