This bottle was found in our digging spot, which is an old mining dump.
most of the glassware is shattered in pieces and melted from them burning the sight, but once in a while we can find something like this...
Kool[]. How do you know it's from '51? is there a way to tell?[8|] I've never dug a coke before. I only have 1 embossed one, which I bought. LUCKY!!!![]
[] Thanks , I went to pepsi in AOL search and and followed the sight to coke.
My bottle has a # on it that says D-105529 when I went to that sight it said that this bottle was made from 1948-1951, for the 6 oz. 1951-1958 for the 6.5 oz. and the 12 oz. was, I think 1970's
The other way to determine the year on the 6 1/2 oz is there should be some numbers on the lower part of bottle (about 1/3 way up from bottom) Something like 51-10
The first number is year. Second number is bottle mold number. But, at some point in time Coke flipped the numbers, where the mold number is first and year second. You can use the first method you used-it is a Pat D bottle made from 1948-1951, then look at numbers and figure it out.
