A few finds digging

I got out for a couple hours to a spot that I hunted about a year ago. There are three different dump sites on about 20 acres of wooded area. All three areas seem to be from different periods, so you'll see a variety of ages here. Nothing great, but I thought the coolest one was the purple utility jar. It was laying on the surface right where I hunted last year. My guess is that i dug this jar a year ago and it was clear. Over the last year of sitting in the sun, it must have turned purple. Has anyone seen this type of bottle? Has a fish on the side. I dug two next to each other.

I believe that bottle with the fish on it is a cod liver oil bottle . Might be wrong though . Nice to see someone out digging .

yes it is a cod liver oil.it shud be made by owins ill. 1930s.

cool cod liver bottles,yep haven't got those ones yet,oh well eventually didn't know you had to bring a fishin pole though to a dig []like the SCA jar is that a little Ink there in the right hand corner?

Thanks Chris. I like the SCA jar as well. I wish it had some embossing though.

Ya gotta love that SCA jar. Up here we have Scott's Emulsion bottles with a fisherman holding up fish on the side . The older versions have a fish embossed on the bottom. Keep pokin' around, u never know what else is there.
