I am getting ready to put some more on e-bay and have been going through boxes and found a few I cant find in my books and thought could be a little less common. First is a BIM whiskey Embossed S.N.Pikes Magnolia The Fleishmans Co. Cincinnati Ohio.

The Eastman is possibly a colgne or perfume. Eastman was a big perfumer in Rochester. Rochester was a huge producer of perfumes and toilet waters. I think they were called city of roses or something like. The whole place probably stank like cheap perfume[:D]

Are you sure its not eastman kodak? They had several different bottles of developing chemicals for pictures. I personally think that it would have to be eastman kodak. Just my 2 cents. Swizzle

I just read an article in one of my bottle mags on eastman kodak bottles and the pic they had showed 4 to 6 different bottles. Some were the amber ones shown in the link above and some were clear. I just wish I could remember which mag and had the mag. here. It just seems like there was a few that simply said "eastman rochester" on them. That would be a nasty mistake giving yourself a quick splash of photo chemicals instead of cologne. I'll try to get a macro pic of the bottle that I think looks the closest to the one pictured above. I believe that the two were related. The Eastman family in Rochester were fairly well off. I will ask my sis. she is a shutter bug for a living. Pics of the stars in the society and movie mags. She had some pics that showed a set of Eastman photographic chemical bottles with lables and that looks like one of them but I can't be sure and she is now living in Vegas. I will contact her and see what shee has to say about gettin me a pic.

This website...
http://auntjudysattic.com/About_Perfume_Bottles.htm

Has this info...
By the last half of the 19th century and early 20th century, the number of perfume companies increased, and names such as C.B. Woodworth & Sons, Tappan Perfume Co., Solon Palmer, Colgate Co., Eastman (a division of Andrew Jergens Company), B.D. Baldwin, and Richard Hadnut became recognized for their perfumes.

Eastman was part of Jergens.

Well congratulations, your bottle made the cover of old bottles magazine january 1975. I know eastman was a perfumer to. Not sure if it was the same company that made the photo chemicals and perfume. I do own an eastman bottle that was a colgne that has an etched deer or elk I can't remember right off hand but anyway's here's the pic. Swizzle

Here's another pic of the inside of the book. I'd take pics of all of the text and post it but I'm not sure if its all copyrighted or not. Swizzle
