a little solo dig today

did a solo dig today. nothin special.

pulled up around 8am

i would move back and forth to the two holes.

this is what came out

it started to get better. philly blob the name is moranz.

it started to get older

then i played with a baby salamander

i was about to give up cause everything was broke, but then...

this guy came out.

the name is from Atlantic City, New Jersey. kind of unexpected becuause i was about a 2 1/2 hour drive from AC.

Nice dig, Matt, looks like a decent spot. Nice Ram too, I'm a Dodge guy when it comes to trucks. Good to see that you found a little friend to keep you company. I got a visit from an 18-inch water snake this past fall at a dump [:-] I hate snakes, but salamanders are cool.

The druggist is cool, and some of those fragments would have been sweet if whole. Good luck, you should be able to pull some more goodies out of there. Jim

Call me thick but im from the UK and i dont even know what a salamander is... but i have to say they look rather cute[sm=tongue.gif]

Great photos and great post! Nice to see you take a few hours off from your busy day to jump into a hole in the earth! That spot looks promising, flip a coin and go left or right...[8|]

Now that the weather is cooperating, the water is getting warmer so I'm back working 6 or 7 days a week, so eventually, I'll lose my "Winter Weight" and be able to squeeze into my wetsuit in a few weeks![]

It's all Warren's fault!!!! He made me eat southern food, grits, corn bread, ribs, crawdads, Michelobe... He was a bad infuence...[&o]

hey jim, hemi....snakes are cool. the only thing i hate are those 3 fanged wolf spiders...shes very nasty nasty when she feels threatened.
