This seller has quite a few peices of what they are calling rare ancient glass.
I am skeptical.
I see a couple globular items that have that typical "camel jug" look to them.
Many of the colors look almost alien in nature.
I am still curious about where (time period and planet of origin) these things come from.
Maybe I am just not 'sophisticated' enough to appreciate them[;)]
Can anyone explain them to me?

Four of those look like they were all hand blown by the same place or person, which makes that really expensive "ancient" one seem less ancient to me. To me they look like a glass blowers practise bottles, though don't take my word as fact on anything there.

I'm thinking its possible they were produced in the middle east as tourist items. Its tough to nail them down. They dont really look like any documented ancient or even 17th century bottles I have seen. Tons of "ancient" fantasy stuff was produced as souvenirs in the victorian era when it was fashionable to re-trace the Grand Tour routes.

Heck, he says they are all "Priceless", so I won`t bid on them so they can remain priceless. Maybe he can get Granny Fark or whatever her name is to make up some of her excogitated fake labels for them. She could have them done in Hebrew or maybe some lost language to really give the bottles some age!

Yeah, some of those colors almost positively didn't come around until the 1800s. I wonder what he would do if one of his "priceless" pieces went for $9.99. [:D]
