Found this 1 inch cubed piece right out in the open on the grounds of the National Institutes of Health.
Thought it might be a fake ice cube, such as used by pro photographers when shooting cold drinks.
But closer inspection shows that the little squiggle on the lower right corner of one face appears to be a signature! Totally stumped.
