I know it's a Dr. Dunlap's Anchor Bitters circa 1880.

It also features on two panels a peen-out above the big anchors.

It's also with an applied top, thus suggesting their pre-1885 location of the neighboring city Grand Rapids, Michigan, instead of their Minneapolis location in 1885.

In this case, I know all I want to know except value and commonality. I couldn't find any completed auctions on e-Bay, nor could I find any current ones-- thus telling me it's likely not common to see sitting on a shelf in an antique store?

Good find?

Wow, nice bottle!! You've probably already been here, but here's a picture of one which looks like it has some peening. Here's the link to the site where I found the picture. He mentions that the bottle is "extremely rare". I must admit, I'm a little jealous of your find! I wish I could find one of those sitting in an antique shop around here. I'd love to have one, but I probably couldn't afford it. Oh well! It's a great find by my standards! Congrats!!

With the label it would be extremely rare, but I think there's some out there. Just not as many as, say, a Lash's or Hostetters.

I had actually passed the bottle up the first time, as I didn't want to give $25 for it. LOL.
