this jar was found at my aunt's old house the one post under dream home this is one of many jars in the house. i think it is anchor hocking but any info would be helpful thanks[]
This is Redbook #83, which lists value at less than a dollar. Personally, I don't think they're all that common, but they still rank pretty low on collecotors' radar. Standard Reference says they were made 1938-1942 by Anchor Hocking. The company was formed in 1937 with the merger of the Anchor Cap Co. of Long Island City NY and Hocking Glass Co. of Lancaster OH. Closure is a marked glass or metal lid and metal screw band. -Tammy
