Nice finds, but you're right, that Pikes Peak woulda been a show stopper!

Yeah Buzz, that's why I listed it in hopes someone has seen this one in this color. I just scanned the flask listings and only found 3 listings for a Pikes Peak in this olive color and they were all the pint sized eagle variant. Only color close to this quart with the hunter reverse side was 3 different shades of green: clear, medium and dark, but no olive. This one is so dark its almost a black glass color near the base. Certainly one of the most rare colors listed, regardless of the size or variant. I just keep believing there is a whole one in a pit nearby so I keep throwin' dirt! One day.......Jack

No pontil that I can tell, has the usual recessed oblong area with some roughness but would have to call it a smooth base if I had to name it. Very crude however....

Heartbreaking for sure, but we mustn't forget that world class Wilcox.

AH Yes, my prized Wilcox! A blessing and a curse, as I am afraid to handle much, so it sits in my most coveted (protected) space! Plus I try not to "live in the past" (or rest on my laurels), as the rocking chair looms not far from the corner of my eye, telling me my days, not years are numbered.....I turn a deaf ear and walk away like a cat.......who is that chair to tell me I can't dig anymore? HA! Jack
