another flask

I have just a couple more to ask about and then I will Leave you alone for today. the first is what my father In law called whittled wood?. this is a great bottle.. It has been On my mothere-in-law window shelf for 30 years there isnt any letters or numbers on the glass.. at the top there is part of a federal lable the one that went across the cork the lettering on that tag is red and all your can read of it is FED there is a cork in it..
I would like to knowthe value of that bottle if any one know

Hi, and welcome. The term you mean is whittle marked. Here's an article on it. Oh heck, the whole site is a great reference.

Your flask doesn't look too old from here. Nice bubble? though. The stamp is probably the remains of a tax stamp so it could be liquor but I've seen similar bottles with maple syrup, usually with a wire bail closure. Check the seams on the side. Do they go all the way to the top?

Your are right. the seam is hidden under parts of the tax stamp but it does go all the way to the top.. I did not see that in the pictures i have.. that bubble is huge, there are all kinds of ripples and smaller bubbles and the botton is crude also
