OK- Here we go. First time Newbe. I need to identify this bottle which was found by my grandfather inside a STONE WALL in the 20's.He worked for the highway dept. and was widening a road and had to demolish a stone wall that was too close to the right of way and he found this. My mom, who gave it to me has said that the only other time she has seen a bottle exactly like it was in a museum in new england in a sizable glass case all by itself. I hope the picture does it justice. Anyone have a clue as to when, where, value.

Well, that looks to me like an 1870's cathedral peppersauce... Of course, it's very, very tall... Lol... Welcome to the forum! Not everyone can say a bottle has been in their family since the 1920's.

Hello David,
It is definitely a cathedral peppersauce. It is called a cathedral because of the gothic arches on each side. They can be much more valuable that the above if embossed with a company name or a good color. Picture below you will find some of them in my peppersauce collection. Most of the cathedrals are to the back. Enjoy.

Nice collection of peppersauce David , you have some nice variations of them . I have seven or eight of them in one of my display cabinets . Have always liked seeing different displays of them .

Quite stunning Dean, a few should be moved to another area though.
gailk44, 1870's or slightly earlier sounds about right. The top looks a little earlier. Can you get a good base shot of it? It also looks a little stretched. Is it?
I'm more with about this.
