I have been metal detecting for 9 years...recently a friend and I located a huge bottle cache in the bottom of a cellar hole (over a hundred bottles from 1800-1880....many pontiled).....that was it, now im hooked...I have found many bottles in the last month at various sites and will try to post some pics. I am looking for a partner who has some privy digging experience and has some time to get out and dig. I made myself a nice strong 4' probe and have located a few privies but need some more experience....I get out to dig at least 3 times a week. I'm having trouble finding privies on a couple of my sites and would be very greatful for some experienced help. Feel free to email me. Now for some pics of some of the bottles I have found since I started diggin bottles.

Hi Matt, those bottles must have all floated down to NH during those floods we had here in Maine 8 years ago[:D]. Looks like your into some good sites, nice finds! How you finding the 'blood-suckers' these days? Unless you get out mid-day, the mosquitos are killing us up here!

They are absolutely relentless.....I am using 100% DEET....that keeps em away but the stuff is so strong it takes the paint off my shovel! It also gives you one heck of a headache....no wonder why the little buggers hate it so much[sm=lol.gif]
