Nice find. Try a fine scotchbrite pad dipped in CLR and lightly rub those rust spots. Should clean up nicely. I've done this on some nice stenciled stoneware and it works great. You can buy cheap toilet bowl cleaner for a buck at the dollar store. Use rubber gloves as it will burn your fingers. Keep on diggin.

And it is the real thing, show a picture of it in antique book of 1996
Value at that time was $200.00.
Organzied in 1878, and as mentioned there are red Wing collectors so don't let it go cheap. Red Wing has therir own section in most antique books.
