The beach in Jersey City on New York Bay is closed 7 months a year to protect migratory birds. It finally reopened yesterday October 1st and I got to today. Almost all of what I find there is with broken pieces or modern beer bottles but I do find shells, bone and iridescent coal. Today it was mostly intact horseshoe crab exoskeletons, a lot but also I found my first ever intact milk bottle and of interest to me as embossed Hohneker’s Diary (1930-1959) North Bergen NJ an adjoining town from which I never saw an embossed bottle. Also found a cute tiny amber bottle. On my way home, looked over the rail and spotted a bottle, climbed down and came away with two cokes and my first Ball jar. A fun way to spend a couple of hours

I never found a North Bergen anything. I find Hoboken, West Hoboken, West New York, have you ever found anything from Edgewater? I worked construction right on the water, huge townhouse development and not one Edgewater bottle. I love walking the rivers, beaches and woods. It is my home away from home and kind of a safe place. Very cool post, I went only twice this year but need to get down there. Someone on this site posted some tumbling supplies, they live down by the shore and wanted to give grits and tubes, maybe a machine? I forget. Pick up only. I have to check my PM's and see if this is still available. Make a trip for two birds with one stone so to speak.

Beauties buddy. I did not realize that you have and collect so many N.J. bottles. I thank you for the pictures. Is the Phil Adler a harder one to find? I figured it is a Brewery and may have produced less than a Brewing Co. Are all these bottles on Brucemobley.com? I only ask because I don't see a New Jersey bottle link. Are they somewhere else. Love the pics again Thanks.

Great finds and pics. Love that shot of Lady Liberty! Zooming with the lens or were you that close?
