An obvious point is the question of how many of these lamp globes have been passed off as target balls over the years knowingly and unknowingly-sure wouldve fooled me-it makes me wonder about some of these "rare balls" that have nothing but a pat. date or are completely unmarked- its still a cool looking piece though. J.D

Harry - This is a tad late but I just wanted to say.....Thank you!
for all your help on this. You have also sparked another question, which I'll ask/post later when I have more time.

deepwoods - The point you made is possible, but target balls are a bit smaller. I should also add, for those learning about these, that there is also a smaller type target ball, known as a "range ball". A range ball has a wider mouth, neck or opening.
