I have a thurber's toilet bay run new york bottle, amber 11" tall, dates back to 1875 or 1880, I am having trouble locating any info on this bottle. can anyone help with value.
Sweet bottle tumbler. The only reference to this bottle that I have is in Michael Polak's Bottle ID 4th Edition 2002, BARBER BOTTLE - Thurber's Toilet Bay Rum New York, medium orange amber, 11-1/4", smooth base, $150-250. Can't say that I have seen that one before. Looks like a good one to me.
THANKS.. I am having a hard time locating any info on this one. I can normaly find out with a goggle search. but this guy is a nice bottle. we dug it about 2 weeks ago in a 1890s dump.
I am just beside myself with this dump and the stuff coming out of it. going to list it on ebay tonight.
Toilet water is what barbers used to call those "STINKS" they put on a mans hair or neck after a haircut. Bay Rum was/is a particularly stinky one.[] Good find though.
sometimes it helps to show your finds to your elders, they are a wealth of info.[8|]
