Brick Round Under Parking Space 13

I had the fortune of being invited to a dig with a group of seasoned diggers this past weekend. Shortly after meeting up at the site, we broke through the surface and found a narrow brickliner. We got right to work clearing out the top of the privy and working our way down. We slugged our way down the narrow pit as we cleared out lose bricks and demolition debris that was used as fill. I must say that being 12' underground is a unique experience that takes some getting used to. I'll admit that thunder and lightning from a swift moving storm rustled my chicken feathers a bit, but it's all part of the experience. At first, I thought I'd have my fill of digging for a while after this fun and rewarding day, but I can't wait to get back out digging.

Digs being a Union Plumber I have been in some very deep pits for one reason or another so I can understand your thoughts on being down there, nice gets and better luck on your next pit....Jim

The bottle in front of the flask is shaped like a Jake. What does the embossing say?

It seems that those round "depth charge" privies are pretty much glass poor. For the few bottles that seem to come from their bottom it hardly looks worth while to bother with them. Give me a "loader" 6' woodie any day.
