C.Bartels Stockton Bottle

Got this bottle a while back, and haven't had much luck so far....finding anything about it. Two people told me they have seen one before, so I guess it isn't rare. Light aqua crown-top, looks like a 3-piece mold & tooled top. Pretty crude with lots of twist in neck & bubbles throughout. Embossed clasped hands, with "C.Bartels" above & "Stockton" below. 8-1/4" tall. What is this? Is it a mineral Water? Early Soda? It's a cool bottle, very heavy for it's size. It's been in my window ever since I got it & cleaned it up, and though it's a rather mundane bottle, I guess, I like it. I live within 50 miles of Stockton, Cal. and frequently come across Stockton bottles. Anyone know anything about this bottle?
