can any one tell me what this is please

That's a cool one! I've never seen one quite like that, but it has characteristics of a bottle made around 1870, and I would guess it was used for olive oil or a cordial perhaps.. it's a very nice piece, I'd grab it for myself if I had a chance!

I checked out all 9 of the pics already.. it's possible the bottle could have an iron pontil mark on the base, but these 2 pics are just a bit too blurry to be sure.. you suppose we could get a clear shot of it??
...the seams indicate a "three-piece mold" was used... totally 1870's.....

Ah sorry Ceyberdigger didnt know you could see all pictures in the album Ithought I was linking single pictures,glad nowI deleted the ones i,m wearing wifes dress a froggman flippers[8D] I,ll stick a clear photo up as soon as poss bud,thanks again for the help.
