A guy I know keeps trying to sell me this bottle. I don't know anything about it. I'm not really a "soda" guy. Any info you folks have would be greatly appreciated.
He is looking 30 dollars including a wire stand. Also the bottle had a small surface chip. Do you think it's worth picking up?

If that's a platypus I would but just 'cause it's my favorite animal. Also, if the stand is original, those are uncommon and $30 is fair for that alone.

Lol you know what! It could be a platypus. I saw a beaver when I first looked. But who knows! He told me it's from a company called "drunken beaver pop co". I can find zero reference to this company anywhere and think he might be full of shiet.

Oh ya, I'm not sure what an "original" stand looks like. But this is just twisted wire bent to form a little cradle.

Most "torpedo" bottles were from somewhere in the British Empire, including Australia, so I hoped a platypus. It could be a beaver from Canada though.

You don't see platypuses on bottles everyday, probably not worth much but I would buy it just for the pictorial. It would make an interesting display piece.
