a good friend of mine has dug a few of these. i had always wanted. we hit a good dump that finally gave one up. in fact it gave up many. i was lucky to get a base that fits as well.

Again a very common pot lid found in abundance in most English speaking countries. Any from the US are generally a lot scarcer but the majority of the US ones were used for Shaving Cream.

Hi sjbrian,

Nice to see somebody is digging some lids[:D] You may want to soak them in some rain / distilled water for a month or so to leach out any impurities. Over time if unaddressed the chemicals within can damage any lid. Nice gold band on this queenshead. Be carefull when removing dirt in this area as it is easily lost.
