I have had no luck finding anything about this bottle except for a listing on Christopher Weide's want list which includes the description: picture of Bugs Bunny. I know the picture on the bottle does not look like the typical image of Bugs Bunny but he did look different in the past so I am not sure. What do you think...is it a Bugs Bunny ACL?

The back label is gone but I can see that it did say Uniontown, PA. Appears to be dated 1959. That's all folks!

JayBeck ~

Cool bottle. I'd like to have one someday.

I can't recall exactlty where, but I remember reading/seeing an article one time about this same bottle and the debate if the bunny was Bugs Bunny or some other rabbit? No doubt the Chocolate Bunny people were trying to capitalize on Bugs Bunny's fame, but considering Bugs is copyrighted and trademarked, they had to come up with an image that would no infringe on those registered rights.

Compare the Chocolate Bunny image on this page to the one on the following page and you will see subtle differences. Especially notice that Bug's has elongated eyes compared to the smaller eyes on the Chocolate Bunny. Plus Bug's cheeks are tuffed whereas the Chocolate Bunny's are smooth. And the more you look at the two images the more you notice the various differences. Not to mention, as pointed out already, that Bug's has whiskers and Chocolate does not.

P.S. ~

I'd say it's the different size eyes and noses that are the most distinguishing differences.

Hey surfaceone...thanks for posting the Bugs Bunny timeline. I was looking for something like that but found some still images from the older cartoons that I was using for comparison. I can see some similarities but the label does not seem to match any of the images of Bugs in the timeline.

That is a cool bottle.

That bottle bunny needs some whiskers on him.

Thanks Rick and you make a very good point. It looks like Bugs Bunny always had whiskers.
