Anyone know about the following?

"A co-worker brought in a bottle he claims is probably 1940's or earlier. Looks like a threaded top whiskey bottle to me, but it's got interesting marks. Any clue about a clear bottle with the state of Alabama outlined, Cradle of the Confederacy, Mobile and Birmingham motifs, grapes (I think they're grapes, but don't think this is for wine)?"

It does NOT have Fed Law on it...
Thanks for any input...

I could find nothing on Google or Ebay....am thinking it's a Civil War 100th Anniversary Commemorative bottle...

Hey Whiskey, Without a photo I can only guess that it is a wine because of the grapes motif. Without the Federal warning it would not be a (hard) liquor from the US or Canada from the 40s. Any words/numbers on the bottom?

I remember watching 1 of these on ebay a while back...........I think it was listed under other antique bottles & described as a wine, as I recall it went upwards of $25..............

Thanks a lot for the info.
I don't have the bottle, but a friend does. I forwarded your comments on to her...and asked for base markings,etc...
She did reply she now believed it is a wine...

Thanks again..[:)]
